- I am outside the U.S. Why does it sometimes take a couple of weeks for my item(s) to arrive?
SCT ships within 24 hours of your payment clearing our banks or PayPal. It may take up to 30 DAYS for your item(s) to arrive to you through your county’s Customs and post systems, however. Although this rarely happens, we can only start a claim AFTER 30 DAYS and would greatly appreciate your patience for shipping issues that are out of our control. Please remember, we ship within 24 hours and although frustrating for everyone, we can't be responsible for delays caused by your country's Customs and mailing systems.

- Why does your return policy on remanufactured inkjet cartridges require me to use the cleaning procedure?
Quit simply…during shipping, inkjet cartridges are subjected to extreme heat, cold and even pressures (when shipped by air) not to mention the rough handling they receive. At Space Coast Trading, we know through testing that the cleaning cycle included in the “Tools” with your printer solves 99% of the issues associated with shipping. So…to save our Customers time and money, we ask that they use the cleaning tool first before returning a cartridge.

- What does “2xFill” and "3xFill" mean on your remanufactured inkjet cartridge listings?
“2xFill” means that the cartridge you are getting is twice as full or filled beyond OEM with ink as the same cartridge would be from the original manufacturer or other remanufactures. "3xFill" means that the cartridge you are getting is three times as full or filled beyond 2xFill as the same cartridge would be from the OEM or other remanufactures.

- Why is your return policy only 7 days and your warranty for an item longer?
There is a distinct difference between returning an item and warranty of an item. ALL RETURNS, EXCHANGES OR WARRANTIES ARE MADE AT OUR DISCRETION. For returns, we must receive an email from you regarding the item within 7 days. When the return is accepted, the item must be returned with ALL packaging, instructions, accessories and software in original condition. Return shipping (and insurance if applicable) is the responsibility of the Customer unless other arrangements have been made. For returns of remanufactured inkjet cartridges, we must receive an email within 7 days and then the cartridge(s) within a reasonable amount of time with ALL packaging in original condition AND it must weigh close to full to issue a refund unless other arrangements have been made. Unfortunately, we have had unscrupulous Customers try to return EMPTY cartridges they have used up as defective. We warranty items for the duration stated in the ad for that item. For warranty, we must receive an email AND the item must be returned by you prior to the warranty expiration date unless other arrangements have been made. We test and check ALL items that are returned for warranty and if found to be defective we will, at our discretion, exchange the item or issue a refund. If we suspect ANY fraudulent claim, we forward ALL information to the authorities for action against that Buyer.

- Why do I pay for return shipping to you and you pay for shipping back to me?
You are responsible for return shipping to us including insurance if applicable unless prior arrangements have been made. Unfortunately, there are no stores that pay for your time and gas if you have to return an item to a store’s location. Space Coast Trading is no different. If you want a refund or warranty, you're required to pay the return shipping to us and if the item(s) is accepted as a return or warranty, we will pay the shipping of the replacement item back to you or issue you a refund (less S&H).
- Why don’t you refund shipping and handling fees?
Shipping and Handling (S&H) is the cost of getting the item you purchased safely to you and in good working condition. This includes, but is not limited to: fuel charges, boxes, envelopes, postage (including insurance if applicable) and packing materials that we use in our delivery system. Some of these items are not reusable and therefore not refundable.

- What does OEM mean?
OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. It is used to describe items that are made by a specific manufacturer.

- Why is there a cancellation/restocking fee on canceled orders?
Unfortunately, Customers wanting to cancel an order AFTER payment is received by us do not realize that, according to our Policies, buying ANY item constitutes a legal contract between you and Space Coast Trading, Inc. We incur expenses by fulfilling your order. Because we ship within 24 hours, a canceled order means that ALL packaging and transaction fees have already been paid by us so you get your order as quickly as possible. Therefore, we must apply a 15% cancellation/restocking fee to ALL orders that are canceled AFTER payment is received to offset these expenses. If you wish to cancel your order, PLEASE DO IT PRIOR TO PAYMENT BEING RECEIVED BY US. By canceling an order, Space Coast Trading reserves the right to block your IP Address from accessing our website.

- What if I have a problem installing or using one of your products?
At Space Coast Trading, we offer a technical advice line that is available to you should you experience any problems with your item, installation or for general questions. Simply email SCT through our Contact Us page. See our Contact Us page to acquire our phone numbers. We want to make sure our Customers are happy with their purchase experience from start to finish.

- What type of ink do you use in your remanufacturing process?
We only use the most advanced inks and pigments available on the market. For our HP inkjets, the inks are equivalent to Vivera™ inks used in the latest OEM applications. This gives the advantage of long shelf life, smooth flowing inks, bold colors, crisp sharp photos and long ink life on paper. Other remanufacturers use less expensive inks, to maintain profit, at the expense of customer satisfaction, quality of prints and shelf life. Our Lexmarks use the SAME inks as OEM ensuring the best printing for our Customers. Space Coast Trading would rather have an outstanding product that meets or exceeds our Customers needs instead of worrying about the bottom line. See our "Remanufacturing Explained" page for more details about our processes.

- What are "Drill and Fill" companies?
"Drill and Fill" is just that...so called remanufactured that simply drill a hole in the cartridge and refill the sponges. They DO NOT replace CRITICAL INTERNAL COMPONENTS leading to poor prints and a short life. Be wary of refills (Drill and Fill) they DON'T work well, if at all.
- Do you sell expired inkjets?
NOOOOO! There is a reason that inks expire. The chemicals used in the dyes and pigments evaporate, separate and breakdown (especially when exposed to heat) which leads to muted prints, clogged screens and overall poor quality for the money you pay. BUY REMANUFACTURED from a professional company like Space Coast Trading and you won't go wrong.

- What are CLONES?
CLONES are perhaps the biggest and fastest growing problem when buying inkjets online. They are reverse engineered copies of patented OEM cartridges that are ILLEGAL to bring into the United States. A sure way to tell a clone is the price. If a Seller is offering "Brand New" cartridges for a VERY low price or OEM at a ridiculously low price...it is a CLONE. Remember, they are illegal and it's up to you, the Customers, to help curb this growing problem. They are shoddily built knockoffs that leak, have wrong colors and poor life that look JUST LIKE OEM. So be smart when buying inkjets. Ask questions, find a reputable Seller and trust your instincts. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

- Why do I need to send a copy of my invoice with my return?
We ask that you send a copy of your invoice because we work closely with our recycling center to bring faster service to our Customers and we want to make sure our R&D Team knows that the inkjet being returned needs to be inspected not simply recycled. Space Coast Trading is continually striving for excellent products and with our Customer's help and feedback, we can continue improving.

- Why does my printer say low ink after installing your remanufactured inkjet?
Sometimes and on certain printers the ink monitoring software does not know how to handle a remanufactured inkjet cartridge. DO NOT WORRY. Space Coast Trading fills ALL our inkjets to the maximum safe levels even surpassing the amount of ink that OEM companies originally fill.

- What is CPC (Copies per Cartridge) and why can't you warranty it?
CPC, or Copies per Cartridge, is a way to judge value for price of an inkjet. It is very SUBJECTIVE and INACCURATE! A cartridge's life depends on many factors: 1) What type of printing is being done (Flyers, Brochures, Letters, Pictures)? The more the ink is required to be put down on the page by the printer, the more ink the printer uses. 2) What is the quality of the print (DPI, Ink Volume)? The better the quality of the print, the more ink gets used. 3) What type of text or image is it (Pixels, percentage of ink coverage)? Flyer text is big and covers a larger amount of the page than letter text, using more ink. According to HP's Site, letter text only covers 5% of a page. That's how they claim 200 copies! A flyer print can cover up to 85% of a page in ink! No 200 copies! A high level pixel picture requires more page coverage than printing a lower pixel one. There are too many factors to list them all here, but these are the big three. You see, there are simply too many variables for ANYONE, including OEM manufactures, to say for certain how many CPC there actually are in one particular inkjet cartridge. That is why we cannot warranty for CPC. At Space Coast Trading, we fill ALL our cartridges to OEM specs or MORE! This ensures the most INK in the cartridge, not necessarily the most COPIES. Your own printing needs dictate how long a cartridge actually lasts. In fact, OEM inkjet companies have gotten into trouble in the past by misrepresenting these figures to the public and big businesses. CPC is not a good way to judge value of an inkjet. Price, Quality and Customer Service are what really count.

- What is the difference between NiCad and Ni-MH batteries?
The main difference between the two is the chemical reaction that produces the current to power your device. Ni-MH batteries generate more power and DO NOT develop a “memory” giving them a definite advantage over NiCad batteries. They can be charged before they are fully drained and generally last longer than NiCad during heavy or long loads. Ni-MH batteries are the only batteries we use in ALL of our equipment.

- Why are your USB Flash MP3 Players better than an iPod™ MP3 player?
Our FLASH MP3 Players have NO MOVING PARTS OR SPINNING HARD DRIVES or HD which makes them far more durable and less prone to failures. Drop an HD Mp3 Player on hard ground or in sand or dirt and you may as well buy another one. According to several consumer electronics articles where iPod™ and Zune™ were compared to FLASH MP3 players, the main advantage were their capacity to hold music (via a SPINNING hard drive) and with FLASH MP3 players starting to come out in multi-gig platforms, that advantage is fading away. In fact, iPod™ reduced their capacities all the way down to the 1G Nano™ because very few Customers need a 30G MP3 player! Our FLASH MP3 Players not only hold and play music, but can be used as a portable drive to transfer files from and to anywhere. They can also be used as a voice recorder for notes and sound bites. Secondly, who wants to pay premium prices for an iPod™ or Zune™ then have to pay again to subscribe to their services and pay AGAIN for each tune? We purchase our units from the same manufacturer that makes SanDisk and Samsung! Our MP3 Players don’t have a name brand printed on them so we can offer them at a substantial discount when we buy direct from the factory. In our opinion, iPod™ and Zune™ are too expensive for what you get (a fragile spinning hard drive that breaks if it’s dropped that most customers will never fill), too expensive to download music (a subscription fee and a pay per tune format), and too expensive to play out loud (you have to buy a compatible player). Save money and buy FLASH MP3 Players! They’re simply better, easier to use with “drag and drop” technology and offer more features!

- What does P2P (peer-to-peer) mean in your MP3 Player listings?
Peer-to-peer, or P2P for short, is a system whereby two computers are connected to each other through a server to safely and securely exchange files. Some examples of P2P networks include WinMX™ and Limewire™. You can search these networks for music, pictures or video to download onto your computer and MP3 Player. Use caution when allowing children to use these services. The internet can be a great place to find music, information and videos, but it also has the potential to expose those under 18 to materials that you might find offensive and inappropriate. Talk to your children about internet safety and the proper use of these kinds of services.

- What is “drag and drop”?
Drag and drop (DnD) is a term for the ability to simply and easily move files from one area of your PC to another. It applies to FLASH MP3 Players too! Since FLASH MP3 Players appear as another drive on your PC, simply drag the music files you want to listen to from your “My Music” folder and drop them into the MP3 Player’s window and you’re all set to go!

- Why is remanufactured a better choice?
There will always be a need for OEM inkjet applications. For everyday printing, photos and business documents, remanufactured inkjets can save you money and help save the environment while providing several skilled jobs to local people. E-Waste is the #1 growing garbage in our landfills. Remanufacturing intercepts inkjets destined for these landfills and gives them a second, and even third life. Remanufactured inkjets use less fossil fuel to refurbish than new OEM inkjets take to make. Our inkjets are filled to their safest full levels which is often more than OEM fills theirs. Customers are getting the same, if not better quality, as OEM, more ink than OEM and saving precious resources. In every way, remanufactured inkjets are a better alternative for everyday use.
